Hey, XX, XY, and all the wonderful possibilities they inspire!
Just a note to folks out there: I've got full shifts at my day job up until Tuesday, so commission posts and notification will be a bit slow. In the meantime, I'm glad folks have been popping up to watch my streams! In that regard, I'd like to talk a little bit about how I do things while streaming.
Lots of folks like to talk mid-stream, which is cool. I've joined in one or two of those, myself. When I'm streaming, though, I like to keep my attention on the art and the chat bar, so it's simple music through my channel. Usually chiptunes, some cartoon themes, usually either related to the day's theme or just stuff that inspires me. Expect a lot of video game music!
I'm told my fellow art-types like to take requests, or do commission streams. This does sound interesting, but in truth I like to let my mind go when I draw and just see what flows out of the brain, and the pen. I might offer sketch streams of specific stuff for a modest price per character, but only if that sounds like something people would be interested in-and I'd set aside a whole stream block to do that. Let me know if you're interested, otherwise I'll just be doing themes and things.
Also, shouting out ideas for a theme is great! It gives me a springboard to jump off of. Two things, though- once I get started I like to keep at my usual idea, so don't get too bummed if I don't tweak it every time someone makes a new suggestion. Also, I try to let everyone in the stream get an idea in. So if you've already had an idea of yours drawn, please be considerate and let your fellow viewers suggest something. We're all in this together, after all!
Regarding the last two thoughts-if you have a whole bunch of ideas for me and a specific way to see them-congrats! You're perfect for my paid stream idea and we should talk. Note me!
Welp, that's all for now. I'll be doing another stream next week. Any ideas on what you folks would like to see? And what do you think of my methods? Please answer in the comments below.
